Antoinette Poisson has rekindled the 18th-century craft of hand block printing domino papers, the original wallpapers, using them to create desirable objects for modern homes. Their inimitable patterns have recently been used in collaborations with Gucci and Dior. This framed paper adds Parisian style to any wall – either hung singly or in a group.
Struggling to find what they were looking for, the trio set up Antoinette Poisson in 2012, with the aim of bringing forgotten 18th-century wallpaper techniques back to life. The label was named after Louis XV’s mistress Madame de Pompadour, adopting the middle and maiden names of the 18th-century doyenne of decorative arts.Visit Designer Page
