The trio behind the French brand Antoinette Poisson have rekindled the 18th-century craft of hand block printing domino papers, the original wallpapers from the time of Louis XV. These unique hand-painted prints look striking on their own, but are stand-out fabulous arranged on the wall in groups of four or six. Rococo style for a modern home.
Struggling to find what they were looking for, the trio set up Antoinette Poisson in 2012, with the aim of bringing forgotten 18th-century wallpaper techniques back to life. The label was named after Louis XV’s mistress Madame de Pompadour, adopting the middle and maiden names of the 18th-century doyenne of decorative arts.Visit Designer Page
