Jean Scott-Moncrieff uses traditional tools and techniques to create heirloom jewellery influenced by ancient civilisations. These delicate gold earstuds feature oval Pairaíba Tourmalines. These Tourmalines, which are named after the Brazilian state where they were first discovered in 1989, get their intense hue from the presence of copper. They are set within delicately layered petals in 18K gold, which perfectly sets off their enticing green.
Jean Scott-Moncrieff came to jewellery by chance. While working as a graphic designer, a colleague suggested that they sign up for an evening course in jewellery making. She was smitten.
