1882 Ltd, formed by fourth and fifth generation of the Johnson Brothers family, is based in Stoke-on-Trent, the heart of the British ceramic industry. Californian-based artist Deborah M Allen has created 'Jenny' out of a love of water. The swirling organic shapes – water lapping around the rim – are beautifully offset by the pure white bone china and simple shapes of the collection. A stunning take on traditional blue and white tableware.

Formed in 2011 by Emily Johnson with her father Christopher, the design-led ceramics brand 1882 Ltd takes its name from the year that four of their ancestors (Alfred, Frederick, Henry and Robert) formed the pottery firm Johnson Brothers in Stoke-on-Trent.
