Classically trained nose Lyn Harris – who learned under late perfumer Monique Schlienger – has created a range of candles that are modern and refined, yet reflect a love of nature. Dandelion combines fresh green leaf with floral notes and a grounding of moss to capture the first scents of spring. The refillable vessel is hand blown by Michael Ruh.
To create a unique gift, personalise the gift box with initials (free), or replace the name of the candle on the glass with initials in gold (£10).
Store your candle in a dry, temperate place, between 15 and 25°C. Be sure to make your first use within 2 months of receiving your candle.
For the best performance, burn the candle for 3 hours at a time. Keep the wick trimmed regularly to approx. 5mm. Clean and remove the bulb after burning and recenter the wick. For the first burn, the candle must liquefy the entire circumference (if you don't, your candle will start tunnelling). If the flame is too small, carefully pour out liquid wax. Candles must be placed on a receptacle or heat-resistant surface. Do not burn the candle all the way down to the base; always leave 1cm of non-molten wax at the bottom. Do not set in a draft. Do not leave a burning candle unattended.
Burn time approximately 80 hours
The hand-blown vessel is refillable in Perfumer H's London store
The raw materials that go into Harris' candles and scents are sourced from around the world and combined in her shop-cum-laboratory in Marylebone, London, utilising skills learned under the legendary Monique Schlienger in Paris, before spending five years at fragrance house Robertet in Grasse.
