Trained in London at the Royal College of Art in jewellery, contemporary maker Ane Christensen became interested in larger scale pieces when working in silversmithing - the tools proportions felt comfortable in her hands. Describing her work as design art, each Negative Bowl, part of a limited edition series for The Garnered, is hand drawn and pierced from a spun bowl which is sandblasted, patinated and waxed by Christensen. The modernist form reflects the Danish maker's Scandinavian roots.
