The Garnered Celebrates its first Birthday in Hong Kong
“I’m thrilled to announce that The Garnered has partnered with Landmark, Hong Kong’s most discerning shopping destination which excels in luxury retail. Together we are hosting a pop-up store which celebrates The Garnered’s unique platform that focuses on international craftsmanship and idiosyncratic, artisanal know-how bringing an exciting new retail experience to Asia.
The Garnered is a place to linger and learn as well as provide that sense of discovery. It is an antidote to mass production, promoting a key message of sustainability, where provenance matters, and the making process can be traced because nearly all the products that are sold are handmade.
I’m excited that the collections of 20 designers have made their way to Hong Kong. We are holding unique workshops where customers might be taught to paint an 18th century ‘dominos’, (a wallpaper panel) by the Antoinette Poisson team from Paris or will be able to have a go throwing at the pottery wheel with the ceramist, Marion Graux or enjoy a silent mediative clay demonstration with New York sculptor Romy Northover."
