London metal artist Ane Christensen is known for modern and highly collectible pieces. This patinated brass Crumbling Bowl is constructed from a spun hemisphere with a ‘lid’ fitted and soldered on by Christensen, the hollow forms are then drilled, sand blasted, patinated and waxed. Finally, the edge is burnished to allow the metal colour to shine through. A mesmerising object that softly tilts to reflect the maker's interest in shifting balance and contrasting solidity and transparency.
