Boston-based ceramicist Lauren Nauman trained in London at the RCA where she developed her ideas for her Lines vessels. Slip-cast is built up in plaster moulds to create straight cage-like structures. Once in the kiln, these structures start to move and warp, creating unique and wonderfully fluid shapes. Best positioned near a source of light to bring out the radiance of the delicate pattern, these sculptural vessels also look dramatic in a group.
