1882 Ltd, based in Stoke-on-Trent, celebrates original ceramic designers and promotes the British ceramic industry. Californian-based artist Deborah M Allen has created 'Jenny' (named after her mother, Jenny Johnson) out of a love of water. The clean lines of the fine bone china are the perfect backdrop to a delicate watercolour design, where water laps the rim. It is a stunning take on traditional blue and white tableware.

Formed in 2011 by Emily Johnson with her father Christopher, the design-led ceramics brand 1882 Ltd takes its name from the year that four of their ancestors (Alfred, Frederick, Henry and Robert) formed the pottery firm Johnson Brothers in Stoke-on-Trent.
