Ceramicist Arielle de Gasquet lives in Paris but her work has been influenced by the Japanese ceramic tradition. Her pieces have a timeless feel, but she brings to them a modern sensibility. This teapot and cup set has an intense matte black glaze that sits well in a contemporary kitchen. As each piece is handmade, expect slight variations.

Looking to make a vase for her ikebana course she was introduced to a ceramics studio filled with members of the Japanese community – “they kindly said I must have been a ceramicist in another life”.
