Hand-Crafted Small Ceramic 'Gathering' Bowl - Whitemill

Edinburgh-based ceramicist Frances Priest has created this series of little bowls exclusively for The Garnered. The parquet pattern and the palette of glazes is inspired by the weather-filled beaches on Sanday, one of the Orkney islands, after which each colourway is named. The whites and greys of 'Whitemill' are inspired by the white sands, darkened to grey where the waves lap the shore. Themselves collectable, Priest sees these bowls as collecting - or 'gathering' - places for precious things.
