Medium Mocha Lines Vessel

Lauren Nauman has created a collection of sculptural vessels that hint of lightness and fluidity, yet are rigid and have a core strength. Each piece is unique, being created as much by chance as design. The carefully constructed cage-like structure that Lauren first makes is transformed in the kiln as the heat lends a liquidity to the clay. The resulting tactile forms are best displayed near a window where the light will create intricate shadows from the pattern.
