Lauren Nauman's sculptural vessels are each unique, entering the kiln as straight cylinders, and coming out as fluid, dancing shapes. The stripes in this vessel are created using two different coloured slip-casts, which are painstakingly built up into lines drip by drip. The effect is clean and geometric in contrast to the gently undulating structure. Nauman's vessels look stunning in a group and are best placed near a window, where the play of light brings a radiance to the pattern.
