Boston-based ceramicist Lauren Nauman has created a collection of sculptural vessels that suggest movement and fragility yet are rigid and strong. The process involves painstakingly dripping slip-cast into plaster moulds, creating cage-like structures. Once in the kiln, their forms begin to move and warp in unexpected and unique ways. The resulting pieces have a sense of fluidity and movement. Stunning as part of a collection, these pieces are best placed near light.
